Designed, built, insulated, heated and finished to the highest standard this stunning alternative to conventional accommodation is guaranteed not to disappoint!

This incredibly well appointed Shepherd’s Hut offers a raised double bed with open views and built in storage beneath, a high quality fitted Kitchen area with contemporary wall and base units including a butler sink, gas hob and fridge, finished with a solid oak worktop. There is a raised wood burning stove, wall lights and French doors looking out over the private garden and a latch door leads to the En Suite Shower Room with w/c, vanity hand basin and full shower enclosure. Solar powered and has connection to the mains also.

Offering a quiet and calm rural setting in the unspoilt village of Thurne which shares its name with the river that runs through the village, linking in with the rest of The Broads network. The Weaver’s Way can also be accessed from here leading onto a walking route that extends to 61 miles, linking the North and East Norfolk coastlines and offering a rich contrast of scenery from woodland to farmland, riverside to countryside passing Churches, Country Houses, wind pumps and historic buildings along the way.

Washing facilities available. Welcome package supplied to all guests consisting of bacon, owners free range eggs, bread, butter and breakfast cereal. Coffee, tea, milk and sugar provided. Please inform us of any dietary requirements so we can accommodate.

Local shop in village provides all basics if required. Pub serving food in the village. Potter Heigham offering shops, Pubs, Coffee Shops and Boat Hire approx. 5 miles away.

Pet Policy

For your well-behaved pet’s safety and the consideration of all guests, we do ask that dogs and their owners follow a few simple rules during their stay:

  • Pets must not be left unattended in the holiday property.
  • Pets are not permitted in bedrooms or on any furniture or soft furnishings. We would advise you to bring along a pet bed to make sure your four-legged family member is as comfy as you are while on holiday.
  • Pets must be supervised at all times both inside and out of the property. Since most of our properties are close to open water frontage, and may not be fenced completely, pets should be kept on a lead outside at all times.
  • Please clean up after your pet, both inside and outside of the property.

This place is a true haven, nature and home comforts. They have thought of everything and it is a truly wonderful space, bright, airy, clean and at one with the gorgeous surroundings. You would never even know the main house was there If you didn’t see it as you head down to the hut. Designated parking, free roaming chickens (who produce lovely eggs for breakfast), the distant baa of sheep and a fab local pub! Loads of good walking to be had and quiet peaceful trails. All on top of the broads. We loved every second and didn’t want to leave!
